Lisa J. Saul is a Partner and Chair of the Real Estate Practice. She is a Chicago real estate attorney with more than 20 years of experience representing clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including luxury properties, across Illinois. She is widely recognized for her expertise in real estate law, investment realty and land trusts, and is frequently cited as one of the top real estate attorneys in Chicago. Lisa’s clientele includes high-net-worth individuals, celebrity clients, and professional athletes seeking discreet and sophisticated real estate guidance.

Lisa began her career at Mayer Brown LLP, where she spent seven years in the Real Estate Group handling commercial property acquisitions and dispositions, real estate finance, and zoning matters. Today, she represents developers, institutional investors, luxury property owners, and individual clients in the acquisition, sale, financing, and development of commercial and residential properties throughout the greater Chicago area.

Having personally negotiated and closed more than 1,000 real estate purchases and sales each year, Lisa is known for precise, efficient closings, attentive client service, and sophisticated real estate strategies, including land trust arrangements. She also counsels condominium homeowners’ associations throughout the condo-conversion process, guiding boards and owners through every legal stage of property redevelopment.

Lisa earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (cum laude, 2001) and her B.S. from Tulane University (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, 1998).
